About Us

Enrich is a Christian ecumenical chaplaincy service for people with intellectual disabilities.

All people have a range of needs; physical, psychological, social and spiritual. People with intellectual disabilities are no different. They need to be treated with respect; they need to belong to community and have contact with family and friends; they need to enjoy nature, experience peace and express their connection with God in whatever way they perceive God.

People with disabilities need support from others to meet their spiritual needs express their spirituality or to participate in religious activities.

The chaplains are available to assist in whatever way is helpful, as much as time constraints allow.

The chaplains will stay in touch by occasionally visiting residents and staff at group homes.

The chaplains will encourage and assist churches to continue to support people with intellectual disabilities in their area by welcoming them on Sundays and at special services and by visiting them at home.

Chaplains are happy to receive enquiries or referrals and will consider each on a case by case basis.

They can be called at times of crisis to support residents, family members and staff.
